Mary Auning of this Parish Spinster
married in this Church by Banns with consent of -
this Twelfth day of August 1844 (forty four) By me J C Grylls
Parties signed: George Trickett, Mary (her x mark) Auning

Not sure re 'Evans' bit on Mary's death reg. A spinster so 'Evans' is her father's given name or an error by informant.

Back to this one with new information.

The details used to start this topic may in fact be incorrect. So, working back using details from the marriage in post #5 and the death in 1881.

I have a photocopy of the death certificate for George Trickett who died in NSW in 1881. It is not at all easy to read as it has been printed 'to fit' the A4 page.

Father = John Trickett, a farmer
Mother = Mary Ann Wearne/Mearne/Nearne ?
Place of Birth = Hollingham ? ... ?
Time in NSW = 40 years
Marriage = Trinity Church Sydney - 35 - Mary Hannon * Clearly not Auning.
Burial = Central Cemetery - Undertaker = Thomas

The death certificate is probably on line attached to a tree possibly on A....

No results for George Trickett on Assisted to NSW list.

Eliza Jane Trickett 1855-1938
Death 28 March 1938 - "Greenwich", Oaks Road, Camden, NSW, Australia. Mother Mary Auning Anning Hannon Evans. Father George TRICKETT.
Page 56
Baptisms Administered in the Parish of The Holy Trinity in the County of Cumberland in the Year 1856
No. 773 When Baptised: March 9th When Born: 20th Sept 1855 Eliza Jane - George & Mary Trickett Abode: Greenwich Quality or Profession: Shoemaker By whom the Ceremony was performed: Forster Ashwin

Mary's death reg has 'Evans' as her father. Looks a though Mary was born Evans and Hannon and Auning are her married names.

George's death certificate clearly does not have his parents as George and Hannah Warren as per several trees - the start of this topic.

Funeral notice has burial at Parker St Cemetery and death cert has Central Cemetery. Checking another person buried at the 'Parker St' cemetery :

NSW Death 1301/1870 ASHTON WILLIAM AGE 80 YEARS - ANN - SYDNEY

The Sydney Morning Herald - Sat 26 Nov 1870 p.12
FUNERALS
THE FRIENDS of the late Mr. WILLIAM ASHTON are invited to attend his Funeral ; to move from his late residence, No. 306 Sussex-street, near Liverpool-street, on SUNDAY AFTERNOON, at half-past 3 o'clock, for the Church of England Cemetery, Parker-street. J. and G. SHYING, Undertakers, 719, George-street South ; 120, South Head Road.

The burial register for the Devonshire Street Cemetery lists William Ashton. Parker Street crosses Devonshire Street and there is a chapel on the corner. The usual name is Devonshire Street Cemetery. Central Railway station was built on the site and the bodies re-interred at various cemeteries around Sydney. William's remains ended up at Waverley. George for some reason is not on the re-interment register.
