I visit my house in Barnoldswick and school in Skipton every time I come home and take photos. I'm lucky, each owner of my house has it looking more beautiful than the last and I get the photo printed and framed for Mum and Dad each year.
I always take pictures of the Mill my Dad owned as well, which was called Yorkshire Plush and was also in Barnoldswick on the Leed to Liverpool Canal. It has been converted and called various different company names over the years. Last year when I went to visit, I couldn't believe it. There were just several piles of rubble where the originl Mill stood, so I took a picture of that and framed it for Dad as well. Luckily he saw the humour. Just another reminder that nothing is for ever and life comes full circle.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what they do with the land when I'm home in December/January.
Cheers,
Jill
