I am trying to find where my hubbys grandmother was born she was catherine jones born 1899 she had a sister lizzie born 1896 at her time of marriage 1916 she was 17 she lived at 23 tylacelyn road penygraig rhondda valley her father was john jones we only have this info off her marriage certificate all her married life she lived at 13 hill st penygraig rhondda she died in 1979 can anyone help

Hello,

Did Catherine have a middle name? Is it possible Catherine was in fact a middle name and her first name was Jane? I can see at least 7x Catherine in 1911 index and this won't be easy to solve even if we assume she was born in Pontypridd. There are about 4 times as many Elizabeths. If by chance Lizzie had her birth registered as such, then did Lizzie have a middle name? Did Lizzie die after 1911? Was Lizzie unmarried in 1911?

There are 124 marriages in Pontypridd 1890 - 1895 for a John Jones. His occupation would be a great help.

Her father was a miner so it says on certificate

Her fathers name was John Jones dont know mothers name only other thing i know she had a sister Elizabeth dont know if there were any more siblings)
