Hi Dave

Due to the commoness of the surname I need to know what county Rhydbyne Farm was in Wales. I have been looking but there are several Davies families to choose from.

Hi Dave

There is no Davies listed at Rhydbine Farm in the 1881 census.

Do you have any further details on John's 1919 death certificate? Where did he die?

I am still having trouble locating a Thomas or Margaret Davies in the 1871 or 1881 censuses in Breconshire.

Hi Dave

FreeBMD is a free website which contains the indexes of births, marriages and deaths.

Ancestry.co.uk is a pay per view site but it has all the England and Wales 1841 through to 1901 censuses.

Hi Dave

Sorry to keep bombarding you with info as you may need time to adjust to all these census records but I think I have John Davies parents.

A John Davies was baptised in Llangammarch in 1842 son of David and Mary Davies.

Here is the family in 1851

Coven, Llangammarch, Breconshire

David Davies, Head, aged 56, Ag Lab, born LLangammarch
Mary Davies, aged 50, Wife born LLangammarch
Rees Davies, Son, aged 29, a pauper, born LLangammarch
Thomas Davies, Son, aged 13, born Llangammarch
John Davies, Son, aged 10 born LLangammarch.
