Deaths Dec 1857
Tucker John Camelford 5c 11

John junior, Ambrose and Salome ened up in Queensland. Perhaps Elizabeth went to Australia with the children after death of spouse John. There are too many marriages in Queensland for Elizabeth TUCKERs to be sure about either Elizabeth. No death in Qld. for Elizabeth with father = Venning.

Marriage 1867/B02246 Lang Samuel - Tucker Salome Anne

John junior married in 1888 but was that his 2nd marriage in Qld. ? His death reg fits with correct parents names:

Death 1890/C01436 Tucker John - John Tucker - Elizabeth Venning

Arrived in Australia 1857 - 1867 ???

Regards,

Dave

Oh, Sucker. :2fun: I have lots of Turners for Furners.

If that is a daughter then did Ambrose marry in 1874?

Thanks gibbo. :)

Emily was on 1841 as 'Emla' 6 months.

I had the full date but not the transcription of the 1837 marriage.

I presume we can rule this one out:

Index to Unassisted Inward Passenger Lists to Victoria 1852-1923
TUCKER AMBROSE 13 - JAN 1856 CLASMERDEN B 104 003

The tree says Ambrose arrived in Sydney in 1859.

No arrival date for mother Elizabeth or Salome.

Seems daughter Elizabeth died 1851. I'm not so sure about that. This is the only one and RD does not fit where the family was living in 1851 census.

You really can't trust any tree. Not even my own. :2fun:

John Tucker
1845-1868

That John is in my tree - he was born in 1844:

c. 24 Nov 1844 St Clether, Cornwall, England
John & Elizabeth

Births Dec 1844
TUCKER John Camelford 9 33 ?
The page number is not within the range expected for the district. 47-55 +/- 2

and he died 7 Aug 1890:

Got something Dave

The Queenslander (Brisbane, Qld. : 1866 - 1939)
Saturday 23 July 1910

Mr. Ambrose Tucker, late of Kangaroo Point, died on July 12 at the age of 67 years, after an operation for appendi citis. Mr. Tucker, who came from England as a boy, and spent a few years in Tasmania, arrived in Queensland about 60 years ago, settling at Ozley, Bald Hills, and subsequently at North Pine, where he selected a small homestead of 80 acres. There, by hard toil, and thorough perse verance, ho gradually cd.cd to his home stead, which now comprises about 1000 acres. Twenty yean ago, with the needs of a growing family to study, Mr. Tucker purchased a grocery business at Main-street, Kangaroo Point, whidh lie successfully conducted, in conjunction -with his dairy farm, till 3 years ago, when he retired, and recently lived at Sand gate. Although he never took any active part in public affairs, Mr. Tucker en deared himself to all who knew him. His large family of nine daughters and four sons (two sons and two dauglhtera are married) have all settled comfortably.

Thanks gibbo. :)

Aged 8 in 1851 so it must have been soon after that.

John senior didn't die until 1857 so perhaps they didn't arrive together. ???

Dont know if this anything or not....Only John and Elizabeth mentioned. I cant read the name of the ship properly.
