Wesleyan Marriage
April 12, 1881 House of Nelson Whiteman Cobbitty Paddock
Henry Sivyer Clifton Bachelor Cobbitty Paddock Storekeeper's Assistant 22 Cobbitty Paddock Stephen Clifton Ann Rootes Farmer
Emily Nelson Whiteman Spinster Cobbitty Paddock Private Life 22 Cobbitty Paddock Nelson Whiteman Eliza Furner Farmer
By me Walter James Davis
Both signed
Witnesses: Nelson Whiteman, William Whiteman, Helena Whiteman

According to a tree I'm missing all the details for two sons. The tree does not include Edith b. 1899 for some reason.

Harold Percival b. 1891 ?
Robert Edwin b. 1897 ?

Thanks,

Dave

Thanks gibbo.

I could not find a birth or a death to fit either into that family.

I had to ask because there is a gap large enough for one to fit in 1891 and 1897. Especially 1891 with 1888 and 1893 births

Searching for "Harold Percival Clifton" NSW only returns that tree.

I'd say there is no son Robert Edwin by that Bathurst birth but can't be sure yet about Harold Percival.

Thanks Geoff.

Someone has assumed they fit because father is a Henry S.

I'll accept they don't fit.

Even though father = Henry S is a match the mother's name is not a match so does not matter Ellie.

I'd say the tree is wrong by omitting a daughter and including two sons that don't belong.

Thanks Ellie.

Curious it says burial as this says cremation.

Camden News (NSW) - Thu 30 May 1946 p.1
... The body was cremated at Rookwood on Saturday afternoon, relatives and long standing friends from Camden attended.

The Sydney Morning Herald - Thu 27 Nov 1941 p.16
FUNERALS
CLIFTON.-The Relatives and Friends of Mr. H. S. CLIFTON and FAMILY are kindly invited to attend the Funeral of his dear WIFE and their MOTHER, Emily, to leave her late residence, 9 Coronation Parade, Enfield, THIS DAY, after service commencing at 3 p.m., for the Rookwood Crematorium.
LESLIE S. ANDREWS, Ashfield, (opp Presbyterian Church).

Stephen Nelson was the only child to die young. I'll accept he was buried at Picton as per the detail. Sister and parents must be there as a memorial only as all three were cremated.
