Two John Stock's registered on one page?

My ancestor was John Stock born 1806 in Finchingfield, Essex. He was in Great Burstead in 1856 when his second wife Rebecca Stock died.

I may have found a death in 1858 for him in the Rochford district as two of his sons wed in Hockley in 1856 and 1858 which falls in the Rochford district.

However I have found a John Stock death aged 61 in 1870 in Dunmow district.

Deaths Sep 1870
Stock John 61 Dunmow 4a 267
Stock John 78 Dunmow 4a 267

But another John Stock died at the same time whom I think I have on the 1861 census and the NBI lists a John Stock died 1870 born about 1792.

However I cannot find the 61 year old John Stock in the area in 1861. There was a John Stock born 1808 in Great Waltham but he is on later censuses. Could it be two deaths or was the death of the 78 year old mistaken as 61 at first and reregistered?
