Two Uniforms to I.D. Please.

I am guessing these are Second word war as that is what they appear to me.
The sergeant I would think too old to be a regular, so I guess in the Home Guard? Most likely in Scotland, did they have Home guard there please? (Glasgow area associated with family)

Younger chap looks like Australian uniform to me?

Any suggestions/info please?

Info from elsewhere:
"The top one is a 1940 Pattern BD and GS cap - I suspect late 1944/1945 going by the low shoes.

The bottom one is a British soldier wearing the earlier 1937 Pattern BD and 'slouch' hat. Again, I suspect late 1944/1945 "

Still no suggestions if Home Guard or not? They all seem to have rather strained faces. Complete photo below. Elderly chap in the centre served with Royal Scots Fusiliers 1894-1912. 1914-1918,
