MRS. V. A. STEPHEN.
Mrs. Stephen, whose remains were burled at Rookwood yesterday, had reached the advanced age of 99 years, and was the widow of the late Mr. Virginius Alfred Stephen, for many years a resident of Adelong. She retained her mental
powers almost to the last, and was fond of quoting her favourite poets, Tennyson, Byron, Pope, and Moore. By marriage she was a niece of the late Chief Justice. Sir Alfred Stephen, and was the last surviving member of a family of eleven.

Yes, very difficult to narrow down the search.

I tried to look for a probate and got over 1000 hits.

This family connects to my tree in two places so I'd better expand the tree by adding one more generation.

I'll return to this after I've added the next generation and moved all the detail notes to their new place.
