Henry Oliver Smith of Coleman Villa, Chiswick, Middlesex, surveyor.* Executor
Hi Ann (and everybody else!)

To misquote a phrase "of all the bars, in all the world..." :D

I just stumbled across this will example in Ann's post, and Henry Oliver Smith is the brother of my direct ancestor Catherine (Bird)!

He was the son that did well, and looked after his family. My great grandmother is staying with him as a small child in the 1881 census. I only found out a few weeks ago he married into the Jelly family (Louisa in autumn 1872) so this adds more detail to the family. Sarah Jelly's address is also given as Caroline Buildings - this is also where the Smith family lived between about 1847 and 1851 and where my great great grandmother was born.

Always look for those extra links!

Thanks Ann! Were the Jelly family anything to do with you? Or was this truly just a random example?

Best wishes,

Colin
