Hi, I am having real problems trying to trace my line of Walkers, I have a marriage certificate for Alfred Walker born abt 1887/8, the marriage cerificate states he was living in Stratford, District of West Ham at the time of the marriage, he was 34 in Aug 1922, he married a Mary Ann Cable she was 27 yrs old. His Father's name is Edward Walker. I have managed to find the Cable line, but the Walkers line is a minefield. I think they are definitely all based in the East end, around the Bow, Bethnal Green, Poplar area, but still I cannot confirm his parents. I must be doing something wrong somehow, anyone got any tips on searching or able to help in any way.

Brilliant, Thank you sooooooo Much!!!! I was not certain as there were so many Walkers and I just kept going round in circles, I had one for an Edward Thomas Walker who married a Frances Harriet Knight, but the area seemed wrong to me, based on my (sadly short) line of Walkers so far, all based in West Ham, I can now get a marriage certificate for these, very grateful
