This would seem to indicate John was still alive:

The Sydney Morning Herald - Monday 13 June 1859 p.6
WALKER - FLETCHER.-May 18th, by the Rev. J. Oram, at Chippendale Chapel, James Walker, second son of Mr. John Walker, Park street, to Catherine, youngest daughter of Mrs. Robert Fletcher, Sydney.

And ads probably indicating Mary was alive in 1861.

Daughter Charlotte married in 1860 but I've not found a notice in TROVE yet:

The Sydney Morning Herald - Wednesday 18 May 1870 p.11
WALKER - FLETCHER.-April 20th, at Young, Lambing Flat, by the Rev. W. Robson, Wesleyan minister, George Walker, third son of Mr. John Walker, of 20 Park-street, Sydney, N.S.W., to Emma Jane, third daughter of Mr. William Fletcher, storekeeper, Young, Lambing Flat, N.S.W.
John is also in Park St. in 1865...

Yes, we have looked at this family previously and it involved major alterations to my tree. It's close to being correct now. :)

Thanks Geoff & gibbo.

I cannot read his age on the actual image of the page. It could be 66. Looking at the '2' in August 20, the last digit of his age does not look like a '2' in fact I think if not 88 then 66.

Yes Geoff, that is either what the OCR thinks it is or what some contributor thinks it is. What is in the left pane often is nothing like what is on the actual page.

If I was correcdting the OCR I'd not read it as 82.
Well, another transcriber has it as 83.
