Went to the builders merchants this morning. Used the hand wash dispenser(because of the rules). Walked in, and was given dirty looks by those that were there, all 4 of them, then I realised I wasn't wearing my face nappie. To solve this, I went and bought an industrial facemask, with activated charcoal cartridges. I pulled it out that packet and put it on, carried on shopping for some bath sealer and a few other bits. All essential of course.:whistle:
Walking back to the checkout/till, someone said ......'Here comes Darth Vader' .......So I grabbed a broom handle to let them 'feel the force'.
Those few that were there, and myself, had rather a laugh.(y):D

The upshot is, the industrial mask works out cheaper the those boxes of face nappies. Should have though about that 2 years ago.

Darth Steve.:)

About two weeks ago, I realised, when making a Baked Spanish Omelette I didn't have a pepper. Jacket on, face mask on got to the shop and realised I didn't have my wallet. To sooth my frustration, I had a drop of Penderyn Whisky (It's made in Wales) and made the trip again. Is this old age?
Nah not old age

I've had a few wally moments over the years, but I think my mate's was one of the funnier ones.
We had walked into what is known elsewhere as Burger King after a few quiet ones at the local. My mate walked up to the counter and asked for a Big Mac. The girl replied with an absolutely straight face, "Sorry sir, this is Burger King".

Oops wrong shop :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I remember years ago i had taped a movie of the telly for the kids, a few weeks later we watched it. I then went into Woolworths and asked at the deli for some of those cheerios that were advertised on a special, she wanted to argue with me, saying they are not on special this week, this went back and forths until i suddenly woke up that i seen the ad on the movie i had taped weeks earlier. She was right and i was wrong, she had a sense of humor tho :ROFLMAO:

Don't understand why they make it so hard to us older ones to set them up. I really want to change the ring sound on mine but not game to touch it to try and do it and i know what my kids will say if i ring them again over the phone :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Its a big joke now, mum doesnt have "ring a friend" [like the games shows] she has "ring a kid"

It was only today, after almost 3 years of owning a 'smart phone', that I added a pin number to access voice mail. I have hardly ever used the phone in a traditional sense with my actual phone number.
I kept getting voice mails for the last 2 weeks from the same single number, that I never recognized. So that's why today I sorted the pin, just to find out who it was from.

Guess what, the voicemail was from my provider telling me how much credit I have left on my phone. BUT, I have an App from the same provider, so I know what credit I have left.
I use WhatsApp for all my messages and phone and video calls, that means I haven't needed a top up for 23 months.(y)

I have to be a real wally. It has been said, mainly because most of modern technology passed me by during my years as a carer, I AM NOT SMART ENOUGH FOR A SMART PHONE, and these are my friends? I hardly use the cheap 'non-smart' mobile and £20 can last me about a year. Strangely though, I don't feel in any way deprived?

I'm a lot smarter than my Smart Phone, coz I can turn it on and off. I can recharge it also. For those reasons, and many more, that's why my Smart Phone, really isn't that smart.

Mind you, when I pick up the TV remote, thinking it's my house phone.....that isn't so smart, is it..:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Move over Gibbo,
just did another age related wally:confused:
I just ordered a pdf copy of a birth cert and as a final it gives the details of the transaction - so being a bit lazy I just take a screen shot and save the image(save typing)
When I tried to save the picture I kept clicking on the save icon and couldn't see why it wouldn't save  Suddenly the penny dropped - I was clicking on the screen image:eek: no wonder it did'nt save -- Felt a right wally!

Dobbing our poor pizza delivery fella in  He arrived to deliver our pizza but left the eptos machine at the shop so had to go back and get it, when he got back did tap and go with it and he went to rip my receipt off and the whole roll of paper come out and unraveled onto the footpath, which was wringing wet from rain  His night has not started well. Nice pizza tho
