Hello
My name is christine I'm from Cardiff.
I have been trying for a couple of years off and on researching family names Watkin. ( Merthyr area ) Belth ( jeffreyston area Pembrokeshire )
Bale ( Loxhore devon )
I am trying to find more about the Watkins Farming around Merthyr late 1700 through the 1800s

I am researching WATKIN/S managed to get back to JENKIN WATKIN farmer B.17?? Died 1829 wife Anne children Thomas B.1776 D.1860. Mary B.1784 John B.1785. Margaret B.1796 & EDMUND B.1791
EDMUND WATKINS farmer B.1791 CWMBARGOED is that the place or farm ?? His farm has been called Cwm Bargoed. Also known as Ty Cenol on census forms. Where are they buried.??
Edmunds Wife was Margaret ( David ) children were Edmund B.1819, Jenkin B.1821, Gregory B.1818, Mary, Ann, Rebecca, Llewelyn, John, Jane, Thomas, Barbara, & Isaac. ( his son was still farming on 1891 census named Isaac and wife elizabeth son Edward 21, Margaret A 19, Mary E 17, Janet E 11, Rachel M 7, Ruth J age about 5.
They used Ynysgau Chapel for childrens births.

On 1841 census Blaen Bargoed FARM Thomas Watkins B.1776 wife Sarah this was EDMUNDs brother.
extra information gladly received Thank you Christine
