Hi members
I know that this is maybe going to be a long shot ,so some pointers has to where to look would be helpful-please
The following details are all that I have
????WATTS died 1st world war served with the Worcestershire Reg
his name is commemorated on the Aldershot cenataph
1/where would I find a transaction of the commemoration from the cenataph-this would at least give me a first name initial
which would then enable me to track his service record
thank you

p.s I have contacted Aldershot base ,but they were unable to help:mad:

The details of Arthur Stanley Watts on the CWGC website shows his father living in London. There is an opportunity to have a certificate style of his commemoration which also has a photo of the cemetery. I found 10 people with the name of Watts who had served with the Worcestershire Regiment in WWI, and I agree with the post above.

Thank you
Armed with this info I will see if any other family member remembers anything
I think that it is going to be difficult, has he was betrothed to someone before he went of to war -and she was pregnant, when he was killed in action it was decided that the baby was to be sent to live with other family members -I believe in Norfolk-these people took the baby and brought the child up as their own-I do not have the name of the child -nor the family member`s names has if indeed it was Norfolk then at that time there was a very large extended branch of the tree there
