What on earth did she call her husband

Looking up marriages I found a Tomasin Blith who married a Suckling Spendlove. Surely she couldn't have called him Suckling. What were his parents thinking of? Wasn't it difficult enough having a surname like Spendlove?

ive said before we should have a forum for some of there more unusual names, keep us amused on the cold nights haha. ive got an enos and a theophilus,. but think it will take a lot to beat suckling thats a corker.suex

Perhaps it was a surname as I've got ancestors called Lemon and Brown as first name.

Yes, I'd say it was a surname. I have several in my tree with surnames as first names of descendants, eg. Morwick.
