What Profession?

I have a marriage cert, it states the brides father as being a DEALER, anyone know what he would have dealt in or was there many things, the year was 1886.

It could be anything he dealt in. Check for him on the census, it might give you more of a clue.

I would presume that he was not a dealer of stocks and shares otherwise it would have said so, or anything on that line.

I would presume he dealt in anything, furniture, scrap metal, rags and bones etc.
