The only personal connection to WWI I have is that of my maternal grandmother's older brother. Sergeant Alfred William Stafford, Army Veterinary Corps died on 25 March 1919 in the hospital at Kings Norton Birmingham and is buried in Countesthorpe Cemetary, Leicestershire, and is listed on the CWGC website. The Welsh side of the family would probably have been underground digging coal, and I have no other information that would give me details of the Locke family or any more of the extended Stafford side.
