Until I consulted census records I had no knowledge whatsoever of my maternal grandfather's family. Having eventually traced an elderly relative, he was able to give me some additional details, including news of a family rift. From this I have been able to make a partial re-construction of that branch but gaps remain and a request for further information has gone unanswered.
Eveline Bessie Sanders (b Sep Q 1893 Newton Abbot) - known as Bessie - reportedly married twice, bore three children and died in 1964. Her children were known as Norman, Albert (both now deceased) and Cecil. I do not know if they were born in this order, were born to the same or different fathers or if these were the names in which their births were registered.
BMD records show a number of entries that appear to match in part but I have been unable to find a complete and coherent sequence that fully supports the information I have been given. Perhaps a fresh pair of eyes or a more creative approach is required.
I would be pleased to hear from anyone who might be able to help me make sense of all this.
