Cookies Blocked and/or Javascript Disabled: Most login problems are caused by blocked cookies and/or disabled javascript. Each are used to store your login information. If you are blocking cookies or have disabled javascript in your web browser or use an Internet security/privacy program that blocks first party cookies you may not be able to stay logged in. You may unblock cookies and reenable javascript by following the appropriate instructions below. If you are using an Internet security/privacy program such as ZoneAlarm, or McAfee Privacy Service, please consult it's documentation for instructions for unblocking first party cookies and enabling javascript.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x (option 1)
Following these directions will allow pressofatlanticcity's software to work as designed while still blocking malicious third-party cookies:
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x (option 1)
- On the menu bar click on "Tools" then "Internet Options."
- From Internet Options, select the "Security" tab.
- Click Custom Level.
- Scroll down to "Scripting," make sure "Active Scripting" is set to Enable.
- Click "OK."
- Click "Yes" or "OK" when asked, "Are sure you wish to change the security settings for this zone."
- Click the "Privacy Tab."
- Click the "Advanced..." button in the Settings heading.
- Check "Override automatic cookie handling."
- Click "Accept" under First-part Cookies.
- Click "Block" under Third-party Cookies.
- Click "Always allow session cookies."
- Click "OK."
- Click "OK" on the Internet Properties window.
- Close all open Internet Explorer windows and then relaunch Internet Explorer.

- Click on "Sites" (If you don't see 'Sites' button try clicking on 'Default' button first)
- Type in pressofatlanticcity.com in the "Address of Web Site" box
- Click on "Allow"
- Click on "OK" to close
- Click on "OK" or "Apply" to close.
- You may need to close and restart your browser in order for the new settings to work.
- On the menu bar click on "Tools" then "Internet Options."
- Click on the "Security" tab.
- Click "Custom Level" button.
- Scroll down to the "Cookies" section.
- Set "Allow cookies that are stored on your computer" to "Enable."
- Set "Allow per-session cookies" to "Enable."
- Scroll down to "Scripting," section.
- Set "Active Scripting" to "Enable."
- Click "OK" on the Internet Properties window.
- Close all open Internet Explorer windows and then relaunch Internet Explorer.
- On the menu bar click on "View" then "Internet Options."
- Click on the "Advanced" tab.
- Scroll down to find "Cookies" within the "Security" section.
- Select "Always accept cookies."
- Click on the "Security" tab.
- Select the "Custom" radio button.
- Click "Advanced."
- Scroll down to "Scripting," section.
- Set "Active Scripting" to "Enable."
- Click "OK."
- Click "Yes" or "OK"
- Click "OK" on the Internet Properties window.
- Close all open Internet Explorer windows and then relaunch Internet Explorer.
- From the Edit menu select Preferences.
- Click on Advanced, then open Scripts and Windows.
- Under Enable JavaScript for click the checkbox next to Navigator.
- Click OK.
- Click on Privacy & Security, then on the Cookies.
- Under Cookie Acceptance Policy - either check the Enable all cookies checkbox or Allow cookies based on policy settings.
- If Allow cookies based on policy settings is selected, click on View and ensure that the level is at low or medium (See second image below).
- Click OK.
- Close and re-open Navigator.
- From the Edit menu select Preferences.
- Click on Advanced.
- Click in the checkbox next to Enable JavaScript for Navigator.
- Click OK.
- Click on the Cookies selection.
- Check the Enable all cookies setting.
- Click OK.
- Close and re-open Navigator.
- Select "Preferences" from the Edit menu.
- Find the "Cookies" section in the "Advanced" category.
- Select "Accept all cookies" (or "Enable all cookies").
- Also select the 'Enable JavaScript' boxes.
- Click "OK."
- Close all open Netscape windows and then relaunch Netscape.
- From the Firefox menu select Tools / Options.
- Click on Web Features in the left column.
- Check the checkbox for Enable Javascript.
- Click OK.
- Click on the Privacy in the left column.
- Expand the Cookies section.
- Check the Enable cookies and Accept cookies normally checkboxes.
- Click OK.
- Close and re-open Firefox.
- From the AOL Toolbar, select Settings.
- Select Preferences.
- Select Internet Properties (www).
- Select the Security tab, click Custom Level.
- Scroll down to Active scripting.
- Click Enable (or Prompt).
- Click OK to return to Internet Properties.
- Select the Privacy tab.
- Select Advanced.
- Deselect the Override Automatic Cookie Handling button.
- Click OK to exit.
- Close and re-open AOL browser.
