Its a long article with the list of passengers so i've cut it short but it could be worth a read and see what you think.

The following are the names of the immi- grants by the Arthurstone, which left Ply- mouth on November 6, and are expected to arrive at Port Adelaide about January 25 :—

Thanks gibbo. Via Adelaide, I don't know. Wicken is a more common form of the name.

John is listed under 'Single Men who are Coming to Friends.'

I have no entries for John William in any Directories or E/R. Needs someone with access. Only the Newtown section of the Sands Directories are on-line.
