As well as William please try to trace Alexander. Thanks.

I have an Archibald born about 1836 Largs but didn't have a William or an Alexander. Curious thing, I had Mary (senior) in 1841 and 1861 (aged 67) with one son but could not find her with known children in 1851. It looks as though I've found her, but that means I was missing two sons if it's the right family.

Last look up for MALCOLM. I need a rest from them. :2fun:

I can't find a death in Tradeston or Cambuslang 1861-1871 for a William that fits 1818 dob. There are 2x William MALCOLMs who died in Lanark after 1891 who were born around 1818.

Please just look for Agnes(s) in 1861 and 1871. Thanks.

I would not rely on that census that says Agnes was born in Largs, Ayr. The 1841 census in Largs says she was born outside the county.

The Agnes (nee WRIGHT) death was on SP so I'd say it is her even if we can't find her in 1871.
You can't tell from the index with William MALCOLM and not just because there are so many. There's not enough to identify them - no mother's maiden name.
