So James was roughly 20 years older. Going by dates and ages Caroline would have only been 13 to 14 when she married?

The FreeREG marriage has them both as full age, Gibbo..

The 1861 census has Caroline as b. Nottinghamshire [assuming it's correct]

Thanks gibbo.

Caroline was 89 and 11 months.

Thanks Geoff.

No problems on the Cleave side although a bit confusing with Caroline Maria and sister Maria Caroline.

It's the problem with James I can't sort out.

If one is Kirk and the other Dickson then how can they be sisters and therefore James a nephew?

Or is it the wrong James in 1841 and 1851 or just 1841 ?? He is a draper in 1861.

Can we prove John in 1841 is a brother?

Might be the wrong James in 1851.

So could be the same James in 1841 and 1851 but not the James in 1861 in St Austell.
