Byrne (Brown) Sarah Ann 17 Apr 1948 86 dau/Samuel & Emily; b. Ballarat, VIC; w/Nicholas Braidwood Old General NSW Ang H, 1b

I don't fully trust all the details on these ACI records.

Says maiden name is Brown and born Ballarat.

If it is this one age is out and it's not Ballarat and it's not Emily. ??

Birth 1860 BROWN Sarah Ann Samuel Emma BLAKE BLAC, Vic. #19608 [Blackburn/Blackwood] ?

Death BYRNE CHARLOTTE 9617/1891 JOHN UNKNOWN MOSS VALE * 25 Oct

Not in Ryerson - can't see a notice in Trove so far.

Death for William will be a bit harder to find.

Finding the right convict might be difficult.

No convict Application to Marry on NSW Records site for a William Byrne to Charlotte.

ToL by 16 Sep 1840. A few days before that for Application and approval to be granted.

Byrne Nicholas 24 Dec 1854 8 Mar 1935 80 son/William & Charlotte (Albury); b. Sutton Forest, NSW, Australia; h/Sarah Ann (Brown) Braidwood Old General NSW Ang H, 1b

Public trees have this:
"Birth
28 December 1854 • Sutton Forest N.S.W. Australia
BDM of N.S.W. Rego No 13624/1854"

Entering 13624/1854 in NSW index returns nothing.

I've scanned all baptisms in 1854 and there is no baptism for Nicholas that I can find. Further the records for All Saints Sutton Forest end at No 105 8 October 1854.

I scanned to the end of the Volume on film so I have no idea where the dates came from as I can't see an entry in the index or a record on film.

Thanks Geoff.

I'll scan Vol 42 for Nicholas and Vol 44 for Mary.

Can you see the whole page Mary is on? There should be a number somewhere on the left that is not part of the date of baptism and not one of the register sequence No 578 etc, but a number probably between 1800 and 2178.

There's no number like that on the page, Dave.. I'll send you a copy in case I've overlooked it..

The register has 153 pages currently on page 6 in the register [page 8 on the film]..

Found this, partial copy for ID purposes.. Clearly surname variants with this one..

Thanks Geoff.

That page is missing a number place there by the RG Department.

MURRAY EDWARD 1161/1854 V18541161 40 JAMES JANE

An image between the two I posted for 1854 with '1161' added at the left.

Oh.
Ha and ...

Being an image of the Church register and not a film of the forms sent to the RG then of course it won't have the new sequence numbers added by RG.

So the baptism for Nicholas is probably in the register but missing from the on-line index for some reason.

Yes, of course those I'm viewing are the church register images.. Also worth noting is; Christ Church Bong Bong, there are baps in there with abode = Sutton Forest and other areas of Camden..

That register has the following dates on page 2 and also includes a bap for Sarah Jane, not seen Nicholas in there [partial copies for ID purposes]..
