Hi there,

I am trying to find a baptism or birth for a WILLIAM CHARLES HOATEN who was born about 1879 in Middlesex.
He emigrated to South Africa sometime in the early 1900's. He was in the military in Rhodesia, now known as Zimbabwe.
I do not have much information on him at all

I do know however, that he received a medal, which is shown on casus belli site. Thats all.

There is a medal card for Hoaten William C. Lieutenant, British South Africa Police. This corresponds with the Boer War entry on Casus-Bellie.

Maybe someone in the UK coud get a copy of the Medal Card for you

Hi Jackie,

There are very few Hoatens on the A--------site none of which are William.
Found this on the LDS site/family search (you may already have this info).
