I found a fairly well-informed tree that says that Mary Ann Gittoes and William Gittoes were on the Lucy Davidson with convict mother, Mary Ann Marshall, no mention of father... There are no details about George (father)..

That would fit what we know. We have no indication that William was a convict. So the two children came free on the convict vessel with their mother. I wonder why the trees have mother's name as BYERS.

I can only think she used an alias... I'll recheck the early convictions...

One tree has marriage in 1820 in Gloucester. ???

This puts Mary Ann's birth at abt. 1818..

One tree has 1822 Piccadilly St James for William.

They all have father as George not Edward.

As usual lots of the tress have copied stuff.

Any baptism for William? Some say 1821 Westminster others 1822.
