The Find a Grave stuff is 80% wrong.

The children listed were born after 1868 marriage. And after the 1863 death.

Where is the marriage to Marian?

Where are any children born to a William & Marian Hughes?

Where is the death of a Marian/Marion de Fraine/Defraine ?

Very few records for the family on FreeREG and nothing before 1850.
Yeah, this info is looking flawed

DEFRAIN William 27 'Lady Macdonald' 1856 Moreton Bay Reels 2138, 2474

The image I posted is from reel 2138 which is on-line on NSW Records.

Reel 2474 is at the State Library. That is the inspection of passengers on arrival - asking if they had any complaints, etc...

Also should list age, occupation and native place and parents.

DE FRAINE, PHILLIP JOHN. (mmn.CHESTER). GRO Reference: 1838 D Quarter in BERKHAMSTED Volume 06 Page 392

According to the census, all NOT born in County, except Phillip. I will say, it's not easy to distinguish the Y & N. But comparing what seems to be Y, it does seem to be N for the deFraines.

Thanks Steve.

Yes, not easy to tell if Y or N.

I read occupation as Perfumer.

There seems to be only the one William in 1841 census born between 1820 and 1830.

I think Luke deFraine, or Father, Luke deFraine, may have took over his Hairdressers business in Aylesbury.

Most of William & Ann's children, baptised in Berkhampstead but born Aylesbury, I'm sure.
A look at the original register, or films would be an advantage, to read any details.

Thanks Geoff.

If the one who died 1863 is not the one who is 17 in 1841 then I can't find another William in 1841.

Can't find one baptism let alone two for a William that would fit born 1820 - 1830.
