Hi Dave,

He's not in Keswick, he's in Crosthwaite in 1841

William Dixon 55 Inn Keeper Yes
Mary 45 Yes

Hello Emeltee,

Thank you very much.

At least the tree I took info from was correct as far as Cumberland goes.

Edward and Sarah Ann both ended up in Australia. Neither has been found yet in shipping records.

I have no info on William & Mary after 1841. The tree has no death for either.

Perhaps William moved or there is an error here:

The Sydney Morning Herald - Friday 21 July 1865 p.9
MARRIAGES
MENZIES - DIXON.-June 27th, at St. James' Church, by the Rev. Richard Leigh, of Goulburn, Mr. John Menzies, of Bungendore, to Sara Anne, youngest daughter of the late William Dixon, Esq., of Keswick, Cumberland.

Regards,

Dave

Hello Emeltee,

Thank you very much.

I think that is the right Edward but you are correct about Sarah aged 5 in 1851.

The tree that had Edward born 1831 also has sister Sarah born 1846. I'd say that's the wrong Sarah in the tree. No age at death for Sarah so no further evidence.

Still can't find Edward or Sarah in shipping records.

Regards,

Dave
