Could someone search the 1911 census for William Hart born 1874 in Aston, Birmingham and his wife Elizabeth born Elizabeth Sedgwick in 1868? They married on 22nd January 1905 in Aston.

Thank you,
Julia

Elaine and Geoff,

Thank you for this detail, you've certainly thrown some new light on the family. I can't yet place Emily Taylor a witness at the marriage of George and Elizabeth Hart. I shall keep looking.
Interesting too that a George Rose was a witness at the marriage, I didn't know this either.

In the 1891 census Elizabeth and her first husband Frederick Taylor are living with his parents in Nechells Aston. There are two children to the couple, from the Census, Sibble born 1885 Birmingham and Polly born 1887 Birmingham but bmd doesn't give any birth records for these children born in Aston or Birmingham in those years. Could these be nicknames and possibly Emily Taylor?

Good evening Trace,

Thank you for sending the 1911 census info. I was wondering about the age and place of birth of George. There is a discrepancy in the age of Elizabeth if she was born in 1868 her age would have been 43 and not 39.

Thanks again,
Julia

If that's the case.....
1911 Census 139 Cuckoo Road Nechells Birmingham, Aston, Warwickshire
G Rose 33 Gas Stoker b Hull
Elizabeth Rose 39 b Birmingham
Ah!

That also looks good. I seem to recall from his army papers he was a 'stoker' when I can get back in I'll recheck.

Hello Geoff,

Thank you very much for all the extra information and the attachment from his army papers. I was so pleased to see and read it all this morning. It has really helped me.
