Hi, I have a copy of the 1851 census which shows my g.g.g.father William Frost's place of birth as Filgrave, Bucks. about 1804. I would like to confirm this hopefully by a copy of his baptism entry and possibly who his parents were. I have ascertained that there is/was no church at Filgrave but I do have a list of churches within a mile or two radius. These churches are;
All Saints, Emberton; St. Peter, Tyringham;St. James,Petsoe; St. Laurence,Weston Underwood; St. Laud Sherington and St. Peter, Gayhurst.
The registers for these chuches have been deposited with the Buckinghamshire County Council at Aylesbury where access can be had.
Would any member know if they are available elsewhere, (hopefully online), where a search may be done and at what cost?
