william Garner born 1901

Hi, this is a long shot, looking for William Garner born Harrogate, about 1901. the only thing i know about him is that he was in the merchant navy on board the Matatua in 1924, before that he was on the ship Wainama, don't know anything else on this guy.
Any help would be appreciated.
