William Glubb - 1851 Tavistock

#1
William Glubb (b 1851 Tavistock) married Jessie Yelland (b 1852 Tavistock) in 1874.

In 1881 William was living with his son, Charles ,( b 1876 Tavistock) and his mother, Ann ( b 1828 Mary Tavy) in Plymouth. He was described as a victualler. Jessie was staying with friends in Tavistock. She was described as a publican's wife.

In 1891 Charles is still with his grandmother in Plymouth, and Jessie is with Yelland relatives in Tavistock. She is described as " wife of a pastor". Of William I can find no trace.

Family Search has record of the arrival of a William Glubb, born 1851, in New York in 1888 as an immigrant. Is this my man?

I would welcome details of any sightings of William after 1881.
