I have a Wm Harvey born 1815 who was convicted of stealing in Edinburgh in Feb 1835 and sent to NSW on the Marquis of Huntly 1835. He married Catherine Hutchins and they had several children

Wm George b 1857
Emma Martha 1858
Elizabeth Jane 1860
Thomas 1862
Caroline Janet 1863
Andrew 1866
James 1869
Emily Ann 1872
Margaret Waldie Harvey 1874
John Waldie Harvey 1879
Sydney Samuel Harvey 1880

Family story is Wm came from Kelso, Roxburghshire Scotland but there is no birth in the records and no mention of Kelso in his trial report in the Scotsman newspaper. Trying to find his parents for someone. Ship and trial seems accurate not sure about children and Harvey seems to sometimes be Hervey in Scotland.

Thanks Emeltree, I should probably look for this one in the census at least to either not find or discount......

There is a Wm Harvey cabinet maker in Edinburgh born there 1814 with a wife Elizabeth and daughters Ann, Jane and Mary in 1851 on FMP. I can't find this one in 1841 to check if they have a James too. And I can't find the 1851 Wm on Ancestry!

I can't prove 1884 is the right death.

http://www.muchamore.id.au/john_caroline_hutchins.html

E. Caroline HUTCHINS, b. 1836 in St. Buryan, Cornwall, baptized 11 Sept 1836 in Churchtown, St. Buryan, Cornwall, d. 10 May 1921 in ?Milsons Point NSW.

She married William HARVEY, married 13 Nov 1855 in Goulburn, b. 1818 in Scotland, d. 24 Nov 1884 in Breadalbane. William: Wiliam's parents were John Harvey and Janet Waldie.

Don't think this one fits
11. Sydney Samuel HARVEY, b. 1880.

The marriages on that tree do not agree with the names in Caroline's death notice.

All errors or three daughters remarried.

the daughters
are Mrs. Leecount, Mrs. Gale (Goul-
burn), Mrs. Elliott (New Zealand),
and Mrs. Davis (Sydney).
Marriages
3156/1878 GALE HENRY - HARVEY ELIZABETH J - GOULBURN
3303/1898 LEECOUNT SAMUEL - HARVEY EMMA M - GOULBURN
Elliott ?
Davis?

Caroline & Emily

Tree has the wrong marriage
8774/1900 SPICER WILLIAM - HARVEY ELIZABETH - GULGONG

Tree looks to be correct with this marriage

3358/1882 GUYMER WILLIAM ARTHUR - HARVEY CAROLINE JANET - GOULBURN

so a 2nd one for Caroline ?? Yes.

3811/1894 ELLIOTT DAVID A - GUYMER CAROLINE J - GOULBURN

Emily Ann must have married Davis. ?? Perhaps 2 marriages as well. Caroline died in Sydney (Milson's Point ??) in 1921 at her daughter's residence - Mrs Davis.

Davis/Davies. Still can't find the right Emily.

If Milson's point is correct then not in North Sydney Division in 1930.

No death for an Emily Davis/Davies after 1921 with parents that fit.

Trees I've seen are mainly private, they have William's birth 1815 Lanarkshire, 1818 Scotland and others.. Because they are private only limited info, cannot check any other info..
