William Henry BOND b. abt 1856 probably Ireland d. 17 Jan 1937 Brisbane, Qld.

Married Annie HAMILTON on 7 Jul 1879 in Queensland

William Henry BOND, died 17th January 1937 aged 81years.

In later years Electoral Rolls show William living in a residence called 'Newtown Bond' and a farmer.

Arrived in Australia ??? Don't know yet if his parents arrived as well. Also don't know of any siblings.

Reference in an Irish newspaper in 1813 for the sale of a religious pamphlet at various establishments including James Winsley BOND, Edgeworthstown.

...recruited in southern England by a wealthy Anglo-Irish land-owning family (read Protestant) named BOND in the counties of Longford and Westmeath in central Ireland. The BOND family originated in Dorset and came to Northern Ireland, via Yorkshire in the 1650s. In about 1720 a Reverend James BOND (1692-1762), who married Catherine Wensley of Co. Donegal, arrived in Edgeworthstown, Co. Longford and founded a Presbyterian Church in nearby Corboy, where he ministered for 40 years, the buildings of which have been completely renovated within the last year. Other siblings and relatives of the Reverend also moved to the Counties of Longford and Westmeath....
