So we have two marriages in 1879.

I don't have age at death yet for John, Robert or Elizabeth. Also don't know if they were born in Ireland or England.

So, looking for 4 births.

Whose Sophia? Is she Richard Wensley Bond's mother? Her husband's name was also Richard Wensley Bond.
Found them in a estate article in the Freeman's Journal and Daily Commercial Advertiser (Dublin, Ireland), Friday, November 14, 1856;

Thanks gibbo. :)

Yes, there are connections to Ireland but I don't know who the parents of Richard Wensley are.

In about 1720 a Reverend James BOND (1692-1762), who married Catherine Wensley of Co. Donegal, arrived in Edgeworthstown, Co. Longford...
I have not been able to find a tree that connects Richard to this James.

I have spent some time looking at Irish newspapers and found this:

Reference in 1813 for the sale of a religious pamphlet at various establishments including James Winsley BOND, Edgeworthstown.
Don't know if James W is a brother of Richard W., but probably.

So it's possibly Richard W. senior and Sophia.

A book on the nobility / landed-gentry / landed estates of Ireland might help.

Some stuff - HERE

(Estate) Bond (Carrownure) - The Bonds were descended from a Presbyterian minister who settled in county Longford in the mid 18th century. In the 1830s and 1850s Richard Wensley Bond held an estate in the parish of St Johns, barony of Athlone, county Roscommon, from the Hodsons who had a lease in perpetuity from St George Caulfield dated 1764. Richard W. Bond was the second son of the Very Reverend Wensley Bond, Dean of Ross and he married Sophia daughter of the Reverend James Bond of Lecarrow, county Roscommon.

Richard Wensley BOND (senior)
Birth: Abt 1783 in Ross, County Cork, Ireland
Death: 3 Oct 1860

There are either 3x Richard W or Richard junior married twice because spouse is said to be a Mary THOMPSON.

Thanks gibbo. :)

That must be a daughter of Richard senior.

We know that John Thomas b. abt 1858 is the youngest son of Richard junior.

I can't find that 1860 death to confirm it is Richard senior.

That presents a problem.

Richard W. senior would not have a son named Richard Thomas and one named Richard Wensley.

We have to rethink who the parents are of the Richard Wensley BOND who married Bridget FARRELL.

Still stuck with that marriage and the births of all their children. Are all those events in Ireland or are some in England?

I havent been able to find a marriage for William and Bridget neither.

Referring to the marriages you found
bride's name: Letitia Rose Bond

Wonder if Elizabeth Rose might have been named after her aunt? All speculation of course for now

:2fun: :2fun: You think an AUNT. I have no idea how Richard, spouse of Bridget, is connected to the Richard W., father of Letitia. I would say we don't have Richard W. senior and junior after all.

Well, I don't know, either. :2fun:

So 1861 and 1871 in England would be ones to search.

I'd better prepare a census topic then.
