:2fun:

Are you suggesting Wiliam son of William & Hannah and Mary daughter of a diferent William & Hannah are both PRIOR?
Nooooooooooo....

That's the irony, I mentioned earlier about the wrong families, there now appears to be 3 families in that 1828 census that I can't figure out!

But it wouldn't surprise me..

The Sydney Morning Herald - Monday 2 July 1866 p.1

COCKATOO, rose colour, LOST; says " Captain Scot!,"
&c. For reward, apply at the Grange, Upper William-street.

I HEREBY CAUTION any person from harbouring
my daughter MATILDA PRIOR, as she is under
age, and left her home without any just cause.
Mrs. PRIOR, 420 Pitt-street.

That must be the one who married Michael FOX in 1868. The one born abt 1851.

So she lived on the same street that Robert Gauld worked from!

That's also a bit curious because by that date there had been several Gauld children with Matilda Prior as mother.

Birth 50/1862 GAULD ROSE - ROBERT - MATILDA - SYDNEY

No marriage found to Wiliiam or Robert so she is still Matilda Prior but not Mrs.

Ah! Would he be in a who's who or something similar with credentials like that?
