The death occurred in a private hospital in Wagga yesterday of Mr William Holden of “Heatherlea” Rannock at the age of 59 years. Mr Holden was the eldest son of the late Mr and Mrs J Holden of Coolamon and had been resident of the Coolamon district for 45 years. He followed farming and grazing. Mr Holden was married to Mrs Catherine Rootes (daughter of Mr and Mrs A Cady of Gouldburn, who survives him with a family of two sons and two daughters, Donald, Robert, Mrs Oscar Manning and Mrs R Priest all of Rannock. Funeral will pass the Rannock Public School at 11 oclock this morning for the Rannock cemetery.

A quiet wedding took place recently at the residence of Mrs Cady senior of Rannock when Mr William Holden eldest son of Mrs Holden of “Loch Glen” Tooyal was married to Mrs Roots, eldest daughter of Mrs Cady Rannock formerly of Goulburn. Mr Thomas Holden acted as best man and Miss Belle Cady performed the duties of bridesmaid for her sister. The Rev J McAndrew officiated.

The death occurred at her daughter’s home in Junee last night of Catherine Alice Holden, wife of the late William Holden of Rannock at the age of 88 years. She is survived by two sons Mssrs Donald and Robert Holden of Rannock and two daughters Mrs O T Manning of Rannock and Mrs Robert Priest of Junee. Three sisters Mrs Bennets of Melbourne, Mrs E E Allen of Coolamon, and Mrs Rh Freer of Ranncok and three brothers, Messrs Andrew Cady of Sydney, William Cady of Crookwell and Donald Cady of Melbourne. She is predeceased by her husband and one sister the late Mrs Thomas Holden of Wagga. The funeral will take place tomorrow for Rannock Cemetery.

father John died 22 May 1906 Tooyal of cancer of the lip age 63 years.
