Can anyone help with information on where (in Scotland) this man was born? The information I have is that he was born 'before 1873' (I think only shortly before). He immigrated to Australia and married Alice Maud Payne in 1894 in Ballarat (Victoria, Australia).

Hi,

I have just found this person today in my Scottish family tree.

William Houston Low was born on 24th Feb 1858 in Kilbirnie Ayrshire Scotland.

His father was John Low, bn 1835 in Musselburgh, Edinburgh. His mother was Margaret Houston bn 15 Jul 1838 in Kilbirnie (this is the family I'm interested in0.

From my research today he was one of 7 children all born in Kilbirnie.
