Hi all, another infrequent visit.;)

Looking for William Ives, who was baptised, 1799 @ Wendover, Bucks. Son of James Ives & Mary Wooster.
He had other siblings who were baptised @ The Lee,(not far from Wendover).

I can't find a marriage, burial.....nor much else.

I have no online access to any ancestry web site.......just my old trusty(sometimes) Buckinghamshire PR's, and 1851 Census for Buckinghamshire, on CD.

Any help please, if not found in 1851 census.

Ta muchly.

Steve.:)

Hi Steve,

I can't find a William Ives born 1799 in Wendover but in the 1861 Census there is a William Ives born 1798 in Hughenden. He is a widower living in Kilburn with children Mary Ann 30, John 21, Daniel 11, Clara 9. The children were all born in Middlesex and his occupation is Master Bricklayer.

I can't find the family in 1851 but in 1841 they were in Kilburn William birth given as 1801 and not born in county. He is with wife Mary Ann 30 and children James 13, Mary Ann 11, William 10, Joseph 6, John 1, Charles 10 wks. Wife and children all born in county.

Could this be your man?

Just looked on the familysearch site and the William Ives born Hughenden had parents Joseph and Martha.

There was, however, a William born 1799 to a James and Mary, baptised Great Missenden.

There was also a death for a William Ives in 1817 in Wendover.

Make of it what you will, but I don't think that the William that Amanda and I found in the Censuses is the chap you are looking for.

Not much to look for, looks like he didn't have a very long life, I always think that's sad.
So Steve, do you have any PR's for Wraysbury please??

Thanks for looking.:)

Oh yes......he could also give Gt. Missenden as his p.o.b........as he had siblings baptised there, as well as The Lee, Bucks.

William Ives of Hughenden, was the son of Joseph Ives & Martha(nee.Plumridge) Ives. He married Mary Ann Clarke in 1826 @ St Martins in the field, Westminister. So you have found that little tyke.;)

The burial in 1817 Wendover, was of a 66 year old William Ives.:'(

Oh well, the hunt goes on.

BucksFHS will have Wraysbury in their databases, but not published CD, I think. Send them an enquiry.;)

Toodle loo folks, until next time.O0
