So many William Jones's  Narrowed it down to 2 in Bathurst since they seemed to have stayed in that area but who knows he could have gone away for work and died elsewhere. I can't find any family notices for these 2.

JONES WILLIAM 6610/1884 GEORGE - ELIZABETH - BATHURST
JONES WILLIAM 6872/1888 THOMAS - ALLISON - BATHURST

Thanks gibbo.

I didn't find any notice in Trove for Ann.

The witnesses to 1851 marriage are probably father Joseph and sister Hannah. Don't know if John Darney fits as a relation or friend.

Hannah married in 1856.

Im confused Dave.

I can't find a marriage reg. for the above marriage nor the below marriage ... yet i found this.

Australian Town and Country Journal (Sydney, NSW : 1870 - 1907)
Sat 3 May 1873
On the 19th March, at All Saints' Cathedral, Bathurst, by the Right Rev. S. E. Marsden, D.D., Bishop of the Diocese, John, second son of the late Mr. Robert Wallace, Mulgoa, to Hannah Wallace, eldest daughter of Mr. William Jones, of Malmsbury, Bathurst.

https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/70478244

edited.. found it. By the sounds of the above marriage notice William Jones was still alive in 1873.

1770/1873
WALLACE JOHN
JONES HANNAH WALLACE
BATHURST

Ok so the 1856 marriage and the 1871 marriage are two totally different marriages. Just all these names the same are doing my head in. So were John Wallace and Hannah Wallace Jones in the 1873 marriage cousins?? I had better leave it there for today cause i got myself all confused:cautious:

Thanks gibbo.

You found a marriage I didn't have. But now it will take some explaining as to how it fits together.

Yes, it does seem William Jones was alive in 1873 when daughter Hannah W = Wallace Jones married.

Hannah is in my tree as a note in her mother's entry and not in the actual tree index. I will add her and her marriage that will create a loop in my tree because I already have Robert Wallis/Wallace of Mulgoa in my tree and children.

Hannah Wallace Jones - mother = Ann Wallis from Wexford.

One of Ann's brother's is Robert Wallis from Wexford who lived at Mulgoa.

All of Robert's children were baptised in NSW as Wallace. One is son John who married Hannah W.

Hence cousins.

Death WALLACE HANNAH W 8630/1934 WILLIAM - ANNE - BURWOOD

John's parents are Robert and Henrietta but no death with that mother.

If Burwood then this one ?

So instead of saying William Jones died after 1862 we now say after 1873.

I just chased the brush turkey away and flattened two small mounds.

Thanks gibbo.

Probably won't deter the turkey who is rarely out in the open. Today he was behind the birds nest fern at the right close to the fence corner.
