They had four daughters Marian Elizabeth b1854 Elizabeth b1860 Florence b1865 Louisa b1868,
Looking for a Marriage for Eliza b1830 Eton Bucks and William b c1831 Kings Lynn Norfolk. I have William in the 1851/71/81 and 91 census I think he died in 1893 Camberwell. I have Eliza in 1841/51/71 census and I think she died 1880 Camberwell.

I'm looking for Marian and Elizabeth after 1871, can't find a marriage or death that fits either and the same for the other daughters. Florence and Louisa are in the 1881 census but then I can't find anything.

Hi Amanda ,
I can't seem to find the births of the children in the GRO with mmn Thomas. Are you sure that you have the right family, there is another William and Elizabeth in the 1861, both born in Buckinghamshire.

I know John Brown and he would have got the information from my tree because we are related through the Atkins family.
I don’t see how William Hynes can be right ??when his surname is King in all the census.
Another sister Sarah Maria Thomas Married Alfred Harmon, but I don’t seem to have that marriage either.

I've looked at the marriage to Robert Harman, but there aren't any details. If you could find William as Eliza's father, then I may be able to follow what happened.

Thanks for that

Personally I think that William Hynes and William King are the same person, the birth year and place both Kings Kynn.
People have been know to change their names for many reasons.

Yes you may be right, I've found the marriage of Eliza and Robert but without details. The marriage is correct because Marion Eliza is living with William and Sarah in the 1861 census, but not Robert or Eliza.
Elizabeth is on GRO as William's daughter, but I'm still looking for the other daughters.
I'm wondering if Eliza was still married to Robert and it's why she isn't married to William, I'll keep digging but thanks for looking

Hi Amanda ,
Still working on this, love a good mystery. I am thinking that William was born illegitimate as Hynes, his mother subsequently married someone called King and William adopted that name. Can't find a suitable marriage yet. There is a William King in the 1851, born 1831 Lynn, Norfolk living in Vincent Street, Stepney, Middlesex. Unmarried
Piece/Folio: 1552 / 550 Registration Number: HO107 Page Number: 3
I can't see the whole household as I have'nt got a sub.
