Hi Dave,

Maybe it was their second marriage as William is 51 and Margaret 54.

In 1871 they are in Hutchesontown - 60 Mcneil street. William is a dyer.

They were both born in Johnston, Renfrewshire.

Hope I've found the right couple!

:) Josie

Hello Josie,

Thank you very much.

I'll have to check a few things. I didn't realise how many possible marriages could fit.

The Margaret in my tree was born 17 Sep 1827 Gorbals, Lanark and this death was a good fit hence the look up request.

Death 1895 Margaret CLARK (MALCOLM) age 67 Lesmahagow, Lanark

but age is 10 years out. :D

Regards,

Dave

Hello Ozn,

Thanks.

That means I should look for another marriage to complete the picture.

There are only 8 marriages in Lanark for a William CLARK to a Margaret 1863-1870.

Margaret is unmarried in 1861 and living in Hutchesontown so marriage there seemed possible.

No death for a Margaret MALCOLM/MALCOM(E) in Lanark 1861-1871 born 1827 +/- 5.

It's the only CLARK & MALCOLM marriage I can find.

Regards,

Dave

I'd better not mix my different Margaret MALCOLMs up. :D

I'll put the older cousin in a separate topic another day.

Hello Ozn,

I don't. :2fun:

Drives me crazy every time I look at any of my main lines - LEWTON/LEAR/HODGES/PEACOCK/WILMOTT or FURNER or MALCOLM/McLUCKIE or...

Regards,

Dave
