I am particularly interested in a PATRICK LEAHY. He appears to have come to Australia around 1881 from Micholstown, Ireland. His parents (as listed on the death certificate) were William Leahey and Margaret Marney. Patrick married Caroline CASEY. She was the daughter of William Casey and Mary Ann Nolan/Nowlen and was born in Gundaroo. William Casey's parents (John and Mary Caroline Purcell) were both convicts. John was granted a Ticket-of-Leave for helping to capture a bushranger and the whole family appears to have settled in Tallagandra for many years. My Caroline and her siblings were born either in Gundaroo, Spring Flat or Back Creek.
