The Sydney Morning Herald - Saturday 7 April 1860 p.4
CORONER'S INQUEST.-On Thursday evening last the city coroner held an inquest at the Britannia Arms, Bank-street, Chippendale, on the body of a man named William Pogson, who died suddenly the previous night. The deceased was a weaver by trade, and was employed at Barker's Mills. He had been but two months in the colony.
...
Dr. Gray was called in soon after the deceased expired, and was examined at the inquest. He was of opinion, after examining the body and hearing the other evidence, that disease of the heart was the cause of death. Verdict accordingly. The deceased was forty-one years of age, a native of Huddersfield, in Yorkshire, England, He has left a wife and five children unprovided for.

Another questionable one...

1841 Census:
William Pogson
Age: 20
Born abt 1821 Yorkshire

Civil Parish: Kirk Heaton
Hundred: Agbrigg (Upper Division)
Reg Dist: Huddersfield
Sub-reg Dist: Kirkburton
ED: 4

Henry Pogson 20 [Fancy/Cloth weaver]
William Pogson 20 [do]
HO107; Piece: 1278; Book: 4; Folio: 15; Page: 23

There does't appear to be the usual division of schedule/property between householders and they could be living with a John and Sarah Micklethwaite and John 13, Thomas 8.

Thanks Geoff.

A possible remarriage for Sarah.

Both families in ED 4.

I don't have anything else that helps. At least I found the parents listed on death reg were incorrect.

Yes, thanks gibbo. :) That shipping record doesn't have the 2nd reel with the details of parents.

Ok, more trivia.

There is no death reg for the 1860 death because there was a coroner's inquest.

Thanks gibbo.

I got John & Sarah off a tree so wasn't sure the tree was accurate.

That could be Joshia or Joseph.

Connection to my tree:

Marriage 1371/1874 FOGSON HENRY - SALMON ELIZABETH - NEWTOWN

I can't find a notice for the marriage in TROVE.

30 Oct 1850 at Newtown for Elizabeth but I can't find a birth reg.

The Sydney Morning Herald - Monday 12 June 1922 p.8
DEATHS
POGSON.-June 9 (suddenly), at her residence Linross, Cavendish-street, Stanmore, Elizabeth Pogson, the beloved mother of William and Benjamin Pogson, in her 72nd year.

Henry Pogson
Spouse: Elizabeth Soloman
Marriage Date: 1874
Registration Place: Newtown, New South Wales
Registration Year: 1874
Registration number: 1371

Looks like both names have been corrupted
