Cant find a thing Dave, not even a marriage or any other births for this couple nor deaths. Nothing in Trove that i can see.

What do you have on the son Ernest? Might have to try using him and seeing if anything can be traced on them that way.

PS Wonder if they had a name change at some stage??

I looked at Assisted arrivals on NSW Archives.

As per age at death points to 1846.

No birth 1845 - 1847 in England for a William I. Lots of possibles.

No William I in 1851.

2x William J in 1861.
