Death index for Patrick

3505/1863
CONWAY PATRICK
father PATRICK
DIED DUNGOG DUNGOG

The Maitland Mercury & Hunter River General Advertiser (NSW : 1843 - 1893)
Tuesday 21 April 1863

At Dungog, on the 19th inst., after a lingering illness, Patrick Conway, aged 53 years — leaving a wife and five children to lament his loss.

It appears they had all their kids in Australia, tho i cant find a marriage for Patrick and Margaret.
No definite death for Margaret yet neither, maybe she remarried

Dont know if you wanted all this but its keeping me out of trouble :2fun::2fun:

Hello Gail,

I'll try to look up some of those 'V' records on film tomorrow afternoon. The local library has the full set of reels 5001 onwards of the Archives Kit.

Regards,

Dave

Gail i tried to find a arrival for them but couldnt. I couldnt find a birth reg. for little John. Maybe his birth wasnt registered but i think he might have been born in Scotland. He died January 1835 aged 9 months so if he was born in Scotland the family arrived approx the last 9 months of 1834.

Yes a great find for the baby. If you hadnt found the burial no one might have been any the wiser about the little fella.

Yes, lucky find among tons of rootsweb info :):) think I've got eyestrain now :2fun::2fun:

Also found another snippet, which helps :

Mary SMITH (HARVEY) died 5th October 1869 aged 5 weeks & Charles died 8th July 1874 aged 3 years & 7 months, children of William S. & Catherine HARVEY also their infant child Catherine Maude, died 4th December 1878. also Catherine HARVEY died 25th February 1880. (Upright
headstone, good condition).
WILLIAM HARVEY bap. 1806 Edinburgh SCT son of William and Margaret (nee Carincross) arr. free 1833 "Macclesfield. Stonemason/miner/dealer. M. 1831 to MARY SMITH bap. 1811 Bathgate SCT daughter of William and Helen (nee Stewart/Stuart)
Issue: Helen b. 1832 Sct. John b. 1834 Sydney, William Smith b. 1835 Sydney.

I'm assuming that "Macclesfield' is a ships name?
