I am looking for information on this Trodd family.

1841 Census Froyle Hampshire

Trodd, Mary, 2, Lower Street Leecot
Bone, Eliza, 14, Female Servant, Lower Street Leecot

William Baptism (Froyle) 1842 30 Jan Son of William (Shopkeeper) & Harriet

In 1881 Son William is living in Southampton close to my Trodd's so I would like to know if there is a connection between the families.

They are not living in Froyle in 1851Knowing the birth place of the older William would help.

Hi,

Many thanks for getting those for me.

I know about the other William born 1843 he does appear on my Family tree.

It is it does not look like it is going to be easy to prove if the two families are connected and how as the older William is dead in the 1851 Census so I don't have his place of Birth.

The Froyle Village web site shows this as the only Trodd family living there in any census. The fact that the family then moved to Southampton suggests they are connected with the Southampton Trodds.

So they are not the same person even though they are the same age!

So don't know where the William in Froyle came from I don't have a birth record for him in Froyle.
