William Turnor Did he die?

Hello
I'm trying to find out if he died before my G.G.Grandmother Ann(ie) Dowsett left England for New Zealand with her only child Elizabeth (not Turnor's child) in 1874. They married in 1864 in Bethnal Green. They were both 23 and he was a Pork Butcher as was his father also William Turnor a Pork Butcher.
Found Ann Turnor living with her brother Joseph in 1871 Census in Penton Street, Clerkenwell. She shows as Married. Cannot find William anywhere in 1871 or any deaths close to a match.
If possible, answering this question I'll almost complete Ann Dowsett's story (apart from knowing her daughter's father to which I'm sure will remain unknown).
Regards
Tracey:)
