Hi Dave

More elusive ancestors :2fun:

And how many variants must Adam have?

You probably have these, but may help others to search..
Marriage:
Loterton Adam, Boston. 7a, 677
White Ann, Boston. 7a, 677

New South Wales, Australia, Assisted Immigrant Passenger Lists, 1828-1896:
Name: Adam Lighterton
Birth Year: abt 1823
Age: 30
Arrival Date: 3 Jun 1853
Vessel Name: Harriett
Origin Location: Oxton, Middlesex, England

Name: Ann Lighterlin
Birth Year: abt 1830
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Arrival Date: 11 Jun 1853
Vessel Name: Harriett
Origin Location: Lutton, Lincolnshire, England

I can't find her parents in 51/61 unfortunately, there are one or two deaths in Boston, Lincs., that would fit, however.

Hello Geoff,

Only about SIX variations of Adam's family name.

The 1853 shipping record says Ann's father was alive and living at Boston. He may well have died 1853-1861. It's also possible he moved between 1851 and 1853 so may or may not be in Boston in 1851.

I've found a few errors with parent's names but very few errors with listing them as living or not.

Regards,

Dave

Hello Geoff,

If Leake or Frieston then try:

1851 HO107 / 2098

Benington sub-district of the Boston Registration District.

Well, I can't find William in 1851 in FS.

I've found one tree but it does not have Ann's parents.

Regards,

Dave
