Hi

I will write a bio on the childhood and early adulthood of my ancestor William Thomas Coombs 1828-1885. Born in a narrow crowded Soho backstreet tenement in 1828 but grew up in nearby Marylebone down Carburton Street. Was living in Westminster in 1851 and wed in 1856 in hackney so spent time in several areas of London until he settled in Fitzrovia from 1856 onwards.

He is an interesting ancestor. He was a litho printer.

Ben

He lived in Colville Place then a court off Tottenham Court Road then Whitfield Street. His son, my great, great grandad was bought up in the area as well as born at Colville Place just 6 or 7 streets away from Oxford Street.
